Year 2 spent an afternoon in the woodland area making their own plant pots out of different materials - newspaper, tin foil and bubble wrap. This science enquiry will help them find out which material is the most suitable. Will their runner bean, ox eye daisy and cress seeds successfully grow?

Friday Year 2 joined Year 6 for a shared read together. It was lovely seeing the Year 2 children spending time with Year 6 before they leave for high school.

'Reception took part in one of Scholastic’s live lesson where they listened to the author Alice Hemming reading her story of ‘The Sun Thief’. They then took part in a drawing lesson with the illustrator ‘Nicola Slater’. They all showed great concentration and accuracy with their drawing'.

Year 3 and 4 have started practising for their concert this afternoon. We are so impressed already with their learning behaviour and playing!

Year 5 have been working on classifying angles and turns this week and maths. They were challenged to programme a bee to travel across flowers using degrees and turns for a partner.

The children in Reception class have loved learning about caterpillars and seeing the life cycle of a butterfly right before their eyes!

Year 2 are growing sunflowers as part of their 'Plants' topic in science. We have learnt that plants need warmth, sunlight and water to grow and survive. We are watering and observing them daily and recording it in our 'plant diary'. This enquiry is also helping our writing in English where we are writing non-chronological reports about plants.

Year 5 have been exploring the lives of children and how they have changed over time. They have been writing diary entries recently.

Year 6 have been amazing this week. We are so proud of their hard work and attitude to their SATS exams. We celebrated with Bacon and Sausage Rolls as a treat today. Well done Year 6!!

We have been collecting the rainfall in our garden. We had 7mm of rain on Thursday night!

The Nursery children have been planting the big tyres to help to add colour to our outside area.
