Welcome

Welcome to Reydon Primary School, a small primary school with a big sense of community. Serving families from Reydon and neighbouring villages, we offer children the chance to learn, grow and belong in an environment where they are genuinely known as individuals.

From our newly opened, purpose-built nursery through to Year 6, we provide a nurturing start to school life, high-quality learning and the confidence that comes from strong relationships between children, families and staff. 

As a relatively small school, we believe our size is one of our strengths. We get to know children well, recognise their individual talents and support them to flourish from their own starting points. Our school community brings together children and families from a wide range of backgrounds, creating a welcoming environment where everyone is valued and encouraged to succeed. 

This supports our delivery of the Primary Knowledge Curriculum, which we have recently introduced at our school, and which offers a broad and balanced approach to learning.   

Our location on the Suffolk coast also helps shape life at Reydon. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, beaches and important wildlife areas, children have opportunities to connect their learning to the world around them. Whether exploring nature as part of our “beach school”, developing curiosity through the curriculum or taking part in community activities, we want children to understand and appreciate the place they call home. 

Alongside this strong local identity, pupils benefit from being part of The Active Learning Trust. This gives access to wider opportunities, sports events held with other Trust schools and shared expertise while preserving the close-knit school community that our families value. 

Most importantly, Reydon is a school where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to be themselves. We want every child to leave us with secure foundations and a love of learning.
