REYDON PRIMARY SCHOOL

School Meals

Between October 2023 and February 2024 we were able to provide every child in Key Stage 2 with a free hot school lunch.  We would like to say thank you to the Reydon Parish Council for their support and kind donation.

We still encourage families who qualify for free school meals to apply through the link below.

Free School Meals

All Early Years children and Key Stage 1 children are entitled to a free school meal (payment is required once they reach Year 3).

However, if you are in receipt of any of the benefits listed on the application form, please apply for free school meals from Reception Class onwards. Once a child's entitlement is recorded electronically, Pupil Premium is awarded from the Free School Meal start date, for a six year period.

Please see the Pupil Premium tab for further information.

Further to your application, the Free School Meals Office notifies the school directly, of when children are entitled/not entitled to free school meals. When an older sibling is in receipt of free school meals, the younger sibling/s automatically receive free school meal entitlement.

To apply for Free School Meals please use the following link to complete an online application.

School Meals are FREE for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. School meals are priced at £2.70 for children in Year's 3 to Year 6. Payments are made in advance, using the ParentMail website. Registration links are sent to all parents when children join the school. We are unable to accept cash or cheque to pay for your child's school meal.

Packed lunches - we ask that no glass bottles, sweets, fizzy drinks or nuts of any kind are provided. These items would be removed from the dining hall and returned to the child at the end of the school day.

The school kitchen can cater for medical dietry requirements - please ask the school office for the Caterlink Medical Diet School Meal Request Form.

For those ParentMail accounts that are not in credit when a school meal is requested, we reserve the right to ask that a packed lunch is provided until credit is restored.
